Tim has spent 20+ years in the medical and mental health fields, practicing as a clinician, in operations, billing, and practice management, and knows what the operational side of a mental health practice actually looks like. He helps clinicians get their practices organized, efficient, and set up to grow — so they can spend more time doing the work they trained for.
Between managing clients, staying on top of documentation, figuring out billing, and trying to grow — it's easy to feel like the business side of things is always one step behind. That's pretty normal, and it's exactly what we help with.
We work with clinicians who are just starting out and need help building things the right way from day one, and with practices that have been around for a while but need better systems, clearer processes, or some extra support to get to the next stage.
The work isn't glamorous — it's intake processes, billing workflows, staffing, documentation structure, and everything else that keeps a practice running. But getting it right makes a real difference.
Three core services — depending on what your practice needs right now.
One-on-one sessions for practice owners who need help with the operational side of things — billing, intake, staffing, documentation, or just figuring out why something isn't working. No fluff, just practical help.
Some practices need real help but aren't ready to hire someone full time. We can step in and fill a specific role — Clinical Director, Practice Manager, Billing Coordinator, and others — on a schedule that works for your budget.
Individual supervision for clinicians working toward licensure or looking for ongoing clinical support. Sessions are focused on real casework, ethics, and clinical development — not just paperwork.
Getting started is straightforward. Here's what to expect.
Reach out and our team will get back to you to set up an initial call. No intake forms, no pressure — just a chance to talk through where your practice is and what's not working.
Based on that conversation, our team will help you identify the highest-priority issues and put together a plan for addressing them — whether that's a single consulting engagement, ongoing supervision, or something in between.
Sessions are practical and direct. You'll leave with specific next steps, not just a list of things to think about. Most clients start seeing real change in their operations within the first few weeks.
You went to school to be a therapist, not a business owner — but if you're running a private practice, you're both. Our team works with practice owners one-on-one to sort out the operational stuff that tends to pile up: billing, intake, staffing, documentation systems, and anything else that's getting in the way.
Sessions are focused on whatever is most pressing for your practice right now. Whether you need to build something from the ground up or untangle something that's been a problem for a while, our approach is direct and practical — you'll leave with actual next steps, not just a list of things to think about.
Billing workflows · Intake processes · Front desk and scheduling · Standard operating procedures · Staff onboarding · Documentation structure · Practice management setup · Adding new clinicians · General operations
Sometimes a practice needs real, consistent help in a specific role — but hiring a full-time person isn't in the budget yet. Fractional support means we step in and fill that role on a part-time or as-needed basis, at a cost that actually makes sense for where your practice is right now.
Pricing is worked out per clinic based on the role and hours needed. Reach out and we'll figure out if it's a good fit.
If you're working toward licensure or want regular support as you build your clinical practice, our team offers individual supervision sessions on an hourly basis. With over a decade in the field, we know what it takes to become a confident, well-rounded therapist.
Mind in Motion was built on firsthand experience with what it actually takes to run a mental health practice. Our team brings together clinical expertise, operational know-how, and real-world business experience — because we've worked in the same settings our clients are trying to build and grow.
